 | Garden log cabins The FinnPeak garden cabins have their origins in the Finnish forest where conifers have been growing for hundreds of years.
Natural nutrition from the soil, fresh air and a long growing time in the low temperatures and light nights of Finland are the secrets of these strong, firm, upright trees.
This is the ecologically harmonious, recyclable and naturally replenished building material from which the manufacturing process of your garden houses starts.
The Classic models include:
" Softline tongue and grove logs.
" Tilt and turn windows complete with glass, wooden frames and sash bars;
" Special FinnPeak corner joints make the joints tight and waterproof, not found in many lesser quality buildings.
" Doors have a draught sealant as standard and large panes of glass and built in locks with quality handle sets.
" The tongue and grove roof boards are approx. 19mm thick.
" The tongue and grove floor boards are approx. 19mm thick
" The roof is covered with black felt shingles instead of plain felt.
" Pressure impregnated floor joists 45mm x 100mm.
" Attractively cut diagonal log ends not the square cut logs as very often seen.
" Double eaves boards.
" Uppermost side wall logs are cut on the incline to match the roof angle, thus avoiding a draughty gap as found in many lesser quality buildings.
" Side wall height is approx. 203cm. (6'8"). Higher wall height can be achieved if require as a special request.
" All fastening fittings and materials are provided.
" Complete kit for assembly including wall plans and assembly instructions.
" Hurricane anchoring (a 6mm steel threaded bar) is passed through the centre of the logs, from top to the lowest log with adjustable nuts to allow for natural settlement and protection from winds.
